Yes, unfortunately, this is Peter's last episode of the MacTalk podcast. After being on every single episode of this show, it's time for him to pack up and explore the world. I met Pete off this site almost 2 years ago, after he purchased an iPod Nano off me and from then on, we have been friends - the podcast being the glue that brought us together week after week. He introduced me to Twitter and to Get This. Because of that, I forgive him for ruining my copy of Tony Martin's Lolly Scramble. We will miss his USB drive of fun, we'll miss his humming of some random TV show, movie, or TV ad jingle before the start of recording, and we will miss his reminiscing of Dreams strip club, but most of all, we will miss Pete. He still refuses to acknowledge that child we had out of wedlock, but that's ok. I love ya Little Petey. This podcast won't be the same without you dude.

Pete and Chris are absent this week. Their mums said they couldn’t podcast last night because their uniform was mixed in with the red clothes in the wash, pfft. We roped in Chris (aka Lo-Fi Chris) and Matt (aka, Matt Lesh) who ventured into the MacTalk cave and carefully crafted a beautiful podcast with Al and I. We devote a large chunk to the iTunes Store and how we spend far too much money on it. There’s also some Optus bagging and general iPhone 3rd Gen feature guessing. Pete makes a cameo via the voicemail, so you all get your weekly dose of Lil’ P. Full show notes on the forum as usual.

You’ll need to listen to the winners of our Crumpler bag competition in order to understand why I called this episode that. In this 69th episode, we discuss how popular Skype is, the prospect of a new iPhone coming mid-year, plenty of Optus bagging, contemplation on Microsoft’s latest propaganda, the retelling of an internal struggle on the topic of Macheist, Chris gives us the latest on his Mac Mini HTPC project, we spit out a bunch of apps we think you should check out and do the same with two podcasts we think you will like if you like ours. We wrap it up with a couple of voicemail messages from our sexy listeners, reminiscing over their first Mac. Full show notes on the forums.

If you still want to irreversibly damage your health by listening to episode 67, you can expect some half arsed discussion on some iPhone rumours, some 17″ iMac speculation, Pete’s impressions on iPhone OS 3.0, a slight diversion into daytime chat shows, some final episode of BSG discussion, an explanation as to what happened with MacTalk’s website and the usual pick of apps we’ve enjoyed this week. Full show notes on the forum.

Jonathan had his beginnings in the trenches of customer service with a certain large telco and then with another Apple reseller. After a few years of that, he decided to start his own store, so he can give customers the experience he wanted to provide, as well as have fun selling stuff he loves. In the interview Jonathan tells us about his love for Apple, why he decided to go into retail and his favourite Apple product, the PowerCD (what?). There's also a bit of ranting about James Dyson and his vacuum cleaners. You've been warned. This is our first time conducting interview and we were as nervous as Jonathan was, PLUS, it was recorded twice as the first interview was lost due to a new feature in Garageband that pretends to look like it's recording, but actually, it's not even writing it to disk. Brilliant feature that one.
